One of my brother refers to the transgendered as, "Those things", & a former friend of mine calls all the LGBT, "Strange", but now she's BI-she got her nerve! THe LGBT are all normal human beings, just like anyone else & have every right to be treated as such. Don't you agree?

One time, I heard how this gay guy was treated by his parents EXACTLY the same way Blacks were treated during slavery, & another gay guy I heard was beaten so badly that he lost so much blood that he almost died. How can we stop this cruelty?

I know I'm 100% heterosexual, but this madness from homophobes is CRAZY wrong & has to stop.

I wish there were more people in the world that think like you. I'm glad I read your question this morning. You made my day! Take care ;)

I've been called "it", that I'm a "freak", that I'm not normal, that I shouldn't be changing what God gave me, blah blah blah. Yeah, I've even been beaten up before.

But you know what? You love your friends, and you love your enemies more. If it wasn't for those people, I wouldn't be half the person I am today. I used to be very shy, naive, too trusting, and kind of a doormat. Now? I'm not afraid at ALL to tell people where to go and how to get there. I've gained confidence, responsibility, the ability to look out for my own safety, "street smarts", and a lot of other things that I don't think I would have learned if I hadn't faced the negative things from the people around me.

No, I'm not saying it's right, not at all...but sometimes we have to go through a little rain to see the rainbow at the end. Dealing with those kinds of people has also allowed me to be kind of "pushed" toward finding groups and people who are against it, like the HRC and the ACLU and things like that.

Getting people to stop hating those who are not what they see as "normal" will never stop. It has been going on since biblical times and continued with slavery, the holocaust, and is still practiced today, as we all can see. All we can do is fight for our rights as individuals to show that we are not any different from any other human on the face of the planet. We just see the world in " A Rainbow of Colors"

If they can no longer be cruel to blacks [well, not as cruel as they would like to be] they will turn their cruelty to another group. It's the Superiority factor, they want to be superior so they beat another group down. The solution? Stop looking at ourselves or other people as being a part of a group, and look at them as an individual.

You have my vote as well, Dearest, that this madness must stop. It will only stop when all sensible people put their common feet down and say *Enough* and mean it. No lip service, no looking the other way no hiding in the shadows saying "Isn't that horrible?". It may take the gay equivalent of another Madame Rosa Parks (a very venerable Lady) who refuses to back down to begin a movement that won't stop; and once it starts, we can't let it stop.
Blessings.

Yes it is crazy and wrong. It has been going on far longer than people realize. Years ago people in the Gay community were afraid to talk about it. No one should have to put up with being brutalized for their sexual orientation.

Prejudice comes from fear and ignorance. To stop any sort of bigotry we would first have to deal with fear and ignorance. I just pity the bigoted people of the world. Slandering anyone different from you is always wrong.

I don't think you are as tolerant of the gay community as you proclaim yourself to be. I remember you asking a question one time about "why do gay guys always act like they are on their menstrual cycle" and also a question referencing your brother always hanging out with his homo friends.

The things you are saying above are nice, but do your really believe them or are you just bored and typing to take up space?

In a perfect world, there would be no hate, or prejudice.
However, our world is far from perfect, and we appreciate your acceptence of all of us!!
