Do people really still trip on this? Wear whatever color you want to. The dress is yours. You paid for it!

What is the dominant color? Which ever you pick try and have a purse to match. If you are going to wear stockings, make them neutral for the navy shoes or off-white with the cream shoes. Don't forget to let your accessories compliment the whole look.

just make it fun.... you can wear green shoes if you coordinated them in with jewelry, purse, etc... just have fun with it and be comfortable.
