If spiders are in your house, they are there for a reason: insects. Do what I did-start to observe spiders, and photograph them, find sites or books on how to identify them, and you will find that your fears are, for the most part, totally without grounds at all, and that spiders can be very fascinating, beautiful and useful animals.

Poisons can kill anything and can even make humans sick. consider getting a few of those ultrasonic Pest deterrants to place in your home. I have them all over the house and VERY few spiders.

spiders are not the enemy, there again i do keep trantula's so i would say that, but i'm asuming that you don't like other creepy crawlies? well if so then it would be worth while to remember that spiders do infact keep them down as they eat them, if you have pets, or kids in the place then using poision could make them sick, may i suggest using a humane alternative, such as a catcher, because then your not killing things, not risking your health, and keeping all the other creepie crawlies down.

Save your money; the dogs will hunt them down and eat them for you. It's all protein and good for them too. Before we moved into our century house we let the cat loose in there for a week. She cleaned out all the creepy crawlers, mice and even ate the spider webs.
