I have gay friends who say they like to be called gay but i have in the media seen homosexuals who like to be referred to as homosexuals. Im really respectful of gay people and approve of gay marrige/relationships 100%. love between any two people is a beautiful thing so I dont want to offend anyone so if ur gay/homosexual or are close to someone who is, wat do they/you liked to be called? As long as you're being polite, I don't really care. I consider myself a gay grrl, or queer. But gay or homosexual are fine too. I don't like the word lesbian only because it sounds funny to me.

I prefer gay. Usually when I hear the word "homosexual" it's from some right-wing group, or in the context of an anti-gay rant, so I've grown to associate it with slander.

I prefer to be called by my name, but if labels are important, then gay is fine. Homosexual is just to dang long of word to use. Most of us accept the term gay.

I like to be called gay
but in the Russian language the word "gay" means homosexual male, so I just have to do with "lesbian"

Im a lesbian but I dont mind being referred to as homosexual, gay, queer, femme, dyke, etc. Pretty much anything works for me... cuz Im all secure in my sexuality, you know.
The DONTS would be:
