i understand that our troops/brothers and sisters are out there dieing (my bro is one of them) but if we pull out... will it take another catastrope like 9/11 to wake us up to how evil these people are? do you honestly think that if we just left tomorrow or even at the end of this year that they would just say "hey, sorry 'bout that whole plane accident... lets put it behind us?" i dont think so, to me that shows weakness. the only reason we made any progress in this war what-so-ever was because the people of the usa were mad and ready to fight. things only started to look down hill when the media only started to show deaths and losses. take everything you know from the war from the media of anykind... do you really know whats going on over there?

There's nothing wrong with wanting the troops out, but when they finish the job not before. The people who want an immediate withdrawal don't understand that right behind the troops will be the terrorists. They'll be the first to scream when they're sons and dughters are blown up or get their families are murdered here. We are fighting a war for the survival of modern democratic civilzation! There will be more 9-11's. If the troops had been allowed to fight a proper war instead of a "politically correct" one they would have been home 3 years ago. They could still be home by Christmas and the insurgency wiped out if they weren't forced to fight with one arm behind their backs.

People think it's a good idea to pull out of Irag for two main reasons....to save American lives and let the Muslims solve their own sectarian religious problems. Another good reason is that it is time for Home Improvement of America rather than Homeland security......as an example... find a way to provide medical insurance at an affordable rate for the thirty percent of Americans who don't have medical coverage. We're a rich country and we can do that. We, as a country, were falsely led into war. There is no way we couldn't have known the weapon capability of Iraq because of the CIA, the NSA, high tech spy satellites and the thousands of paid informents the world round. It's time for Americans to be for Americans, not for politicians to be for unjustified world causes. People say there are a lot of idiots on this site but there are a lot of intelligent thinking people here also, some pretending to be ignorant just to test the waters.

John S: you say your brother is over there? Yes, these people are evil but, what are we doing there, what have we accomplished?
I was in 'Nam for two tours, we would take one hill one day, then give it back, take it the next day, then give it back again. We accomplished nothing, like we are now.
You don't seem to understand what's going on, do you? Over three thousand young men and women, over 122 civilians have been killed over there, countless hurt, how many lost their limbs, and your talking weakness. That's O.K. for an armchair account, your here.
There's no way we're going to stop them unless we killed each and everyone of them so there's no one left to carry a gun, I think everyone knows that now.
They're not eveil, they're honor bound by their relegion and willing to die for it. This is what keeps them going. We will never win whether we are weak or strong. We cannot ferret them out of every hole there before the end of time. I've been through it, there are not enough American lives that are worth it so, don't talk to me about being weak.

We should be here, protecting what we have, keeping our borders safe from incursions. We should be stopping the immigrations from running amok like they are. We should stop all the drug trade from coming into and, through our borders.
We could do this with our Armies instead of getting them killed over there.
They're fighting with eight men squads now, did you know that? we had twelve in 'Nam. That's how short they are. Why don't you enlist if you think it's so great and give them a hand, they need it, they're short of men.
Don't sound off unless you know what's going on Pal, it's getting bad over there now. I'm sick of seeing it on TV. I've been through it, I know what's going on.

People who want a full pull out are just plan ignorant on the subject! There is no way to do a complete pull out safely...it just isnt feesable....and yes I have family in the militaray and one of them is in iraq now...even he says that a pull out would do no good at this time...iraq would become a haven fro terrorist and they could sit there and plot another attack on the us...the country must be stable before we pull out so they can keep the terrorist away!!!! I do my own research and come to my own conclusions to what I read.....

We went to Iraq to get Saddam Insane. We found him. The people have been set free. What have they done with their freedom. Continue to kill each other and the people who set them free. Maybe Saddam was right. None of this took place when Saddam was in charge I know he was a evil man. Killing Iraqi's every day. Well he's dead and Iraqi's are still killing Iraqi's. Bring to troops home. Why should they die for people who don't know how to be free.
