Random one. Oh gosh, that makes me laugh when someone would just say the most random thing in an awkward situation.
And of course, sarcasm takes my interest in a person when they pretend to be interested in something when they're not =]

I like 'dark humor' as written in those short stories and novels by Evelyn Waugh. Especially the short story, "The Man Who Liked Dickens", it is very funny and I think what I should do if I were the reader in the story, I would be desperate.
There are hardbacks published by Alfred A. Knopf (New York) in the Everyman's Library series (please visit the web site). However, you may find some titles in paperback published by Penguin Books.

The kind that most people would be like "wtf?" or "that doesn't make any sense". It makes sense to me and it's hilarious!
For example there was this little comic in a magazine with a girl carrying a pan with the bread floating several feet above it (just came out of the oven), and her telling her mom "I think I put in too much yeast." It made the bread "rise" LMAO that sort of thing. Or this other one where the sign on a restroom had the picture of the little blue lady symbol thing, and an actual one of those was walking out of the bathroom.
