I think that many times people (women mostly) post questions here just to vent, and then give best answers to people that agree with them.. instead of the ones that actually offer solutions and sound advice.
I hope that you aren't one of those. But otherwise, there is no rule that says you have to take the advice you get here. We can't all be experts on every topic, and ultimately you're the one that has to make the final decision about each situation.

It makes me more open minded - every now and then I'll ask a question and I am shocked by how negatively some people will take it. But that's good because that might be what's really happening in the situation I'm writing about. So it gives me insight into other people's feelings. Also makes me more careful about how I word things!
