violation notices they've received lately. Alas, I rarely get any. Well, today I got one for what I thought was a cute little comment and now suddenly I feel rather proud...is this normal?

:o)
Ok...feel free to slam me...I won't report you.
Just thought this question was fun. lol

I guess some folks don't share our concept of "cute".

I'm a Catholic school girl who only got demerits for forgetting an absent note. The first couple of violation notices I got really bugged me, especially since I didn't deserve them. Now, they still irritate me since the ones I get are not the ones I expect or deserve. I mean, I say some things that deserve to be reported, but those people never seem to do the reporting. It's always those who just disagree with me. Sometimes I feel proud but not usually. You can click on the Customer Service link and complain if you think it was unwarranted. They're actually looking into the complaints now and giving back points deleted if they think it was a bad report.

Congratulations, I think!

Happens ALL the time. I posted yesterday that I liked someone's screen name and pic and got violated on that. Technically, I can't get mad, because it was a violation of the TOS - I'm not even appealing it. But seriously, of all the things to report...

Every violation I've gotten has been for what I thought was a funny, sarcastic comment. Some people just have no sense of humor.

I don't see any consistency in how they give out violation notices. I got one for a poem for my mother on mothers day.
Explain that one to me?

Amazing. I got one the other day for suggesting that Mexico City is an unsafe place for Americans because of all the kidnappings. I guess someone thought I was anti-Mexico. Jeez.

It means that someone disagreed with what you had to say, and couldn't handle the fact that there is more than one viewpoint in the world.

You get them for nothing your question or answere can make someone mad and they will turn you in. I have got to find something else to do.

they arbitrarily take off what they deem to be "bad." their bad usually means anything that has to do with taking responsibility for ones actions. if its not a liberal, "feel-good-for-the-facts" answer, they hate it.
