nahhh....

The relaunch of the programme has seen Christmas Day special episodes broadcast between series, the most recent being "The Runaway Bride". Series 3 of the relaunched programme, starring David Tennant as the Doctor and Freema Agyeman as his companion Martha Jones, started on 31 March 2007 at 7pm on BBC One. A fourth series has been commissioned, to air in 2008.[

I have many reasons why this is most probably untrue.

1) Doctor Who has been such a success. It rakes in far too much money; bosses probably have a long future planned for the show.

2) The "insider" says there is a heavy work schedule. Well yes, that's true - but that's no reason why it would stop. Most actors/actresses in the business would give anything to be in the show, and wouldn't care about the hard work.

3) This report is from "The Sun" magazine. The Sun have a long history of writing articles about Doctor Who, like the recent one about the "Axing of Freema Agyeman" - which has been denied by both the BBC and contradicts many things Freema herself has said.

To sum up, Doctor Who is far to successful, popular and money making to be "axed" after just four series. As far as I'm concerned, and I hope you'll agree with me, us Doctor Who fans should carry on to enjoy the series without letting this media obsession ruin it for us.

As the production crew have plans for a fifth series there is almost no chance that the fourth series will be the last. Indeed as one of the BBC's most popular shows and with an exponentially growing overseas market and 4 spin off series (Torchwood, Sarah Jane Smith Adventures, Totally Doctor Who and Doctor Who Uncovered) and a fifth in the pipeline (a cartoon about K9) it seems our favourite Time Lord will be with us for a great many more years.

I am not familiar with this particular news service so I am not sure if it is real. Seems like it is though.
