Well for starters it would be more fun if you were there and we could shop together. Then here are the Moms that let their little darlings run free around the store. And you have to look out for them. Then the screamers (the kids that should have been left home so they could have their nap.) Then the cashiers that take for ever. The yuppie ladys that stand there chatting and even if you say pardon me they pretend they don't hear you and block the isle. The bag boys that flatten your bread to look like a pancake. Ohhh it is exhausting just thinking about it ! I think that I'll send out for pizza and give you a star !

The absolutely proven fact that WHATEVER line in get into will be the slowest.

However, as a bad as this seems, it does have its good points and thus I'm more informed about the world. I now know that Big Foot is alive and well and is a chess grandmaster in Brazil and Jesus appeared on a piece of toast in Italy. I would not have known these amazing facts if not for my long waits in supermarket lines!

The size of the place. They seem to be making more empty space, setting the cashiers way up front and widening the aisles (which is good when they don't put displays alongside the shelves). Then they put seasonal, perfume, books, candy bins and vitamins in the middle so if you want produce and bread, you hike from one end to the other. And to do your normal weekly shopping, you have to skip six to eight aisles. I had never noticed how much wasted space they have until I escorted an elderly woman into the store and watched her tire just reaching the cat food aisle. It's hard on the disabled, the elderly, the exhausted, and the semi-agoraphobic.

I LOVE Supermarkets, are you kidding?
I'm so thankful that I dont have to grow my own food all year, working in a rice patty field like some poor woman in Thailand. Thank God I can waltz in & out to get almost anything my heart desires in less than 15 minutes.
Us Americans need to realize just how fortunate and blessed we are.

I like the place I shop. I go there between 4-5 a.m. The shelves are well stocked the only other people there are a few of my friends and the lines are short. I do find it a bit chilly so I take a sweater.

People who stop in the middle of the aisle to talk or the one's who let their little kids push the cart then you have to dodge out of the way and the parents don't say anything to them. Also that the cashiers look so depressed and spacey sometimes.

Oddly enough, it's a rather new hate I have, and that's overhearing peoples cellphone conversations when I'm waiting in line. I mean seriously, what the **** do I care? And why should I be subjected to their mindless yammering?

Those ones who block the isles with their huge bodies. The slow checkers, the bag person who always dissapears when I'm paying for my stuff, the butcher who doesn't speak any language I speak....I like the bakery lady though she's a sweet heart....
