When I was pregnant with my first baby, I had leg cramps throughout my pregnancy, getting worse with the heavier I got. With the growing uterous the blood circulation changes, with much more going to that region of the body to help nourish the growing womb and baby. I had thought it was weight causing this, but when it happens so soon in the pregnany obviously it is something more. My doctor had told me about the circulation change and then as the weight and pressure later it got worse. walking alot and keeping active can help relieve this over time, as you will keep the circulation strong, but mine never did go away till after the baby arrived. You definately want to have your friend discuss this with her doctor or health clinic though as everyone is different. my hormonal changes happened very early on, and there will be many more things that will happen that may alarm her. there are good books you can take out of the library about pregnancty and what to expect. then she wont be alarmed as more changes start to happen. Good luck with it all and know that no matter what comes along causing little aches pains and nausea, it is all worth it in the end when that beautiful baby arrives. you will see how fast you forget about the annoying things.

It's normal to have pain/aches/cramps during pregnancy as long as it's not severe and accompany by any bleeding and spotting then everything should be fine. I've read in the pregnancy book that pregnant women tend to get cramps in the leg and that is normal. But if your friend is concern, have her consult her doctor just to be on the safe side. In my opinion, im sure she is OK.

Holy cow! I idea I used to be the one one. I too were having horrible pains in my ankles. I'm speaking such BAD pains that I can slightly prolong my toes toward the bottom on the grounds that it appears like I will tear my ligaments off. My child is now three months historic and I despite the fact that I'm again at paintings, I cannot put on top heels on the grounds that it hurts my ankles too unhealthy.

Yes and my hips felt like they were burning too. I think it is normal for some women, but if your friend is concerned she should see her doctor. Your friend has many aches and pains to come!

I felt that way over my entire body...ask the doc, he said it was normal. Not in any of the books I read, but it eventually subsided.
