Don't be sad - you'll have more fun in middle school. You'll find some new friends and likely have more activities. I felt the same way when I graduated high school, but college is much more fun.

Oh, sweetheart. I understand. You had some great times in elementary school, I'm sure. But you know what, YOU will be there with you in middleschool, too. (I know that's obvious, but that's my point.) Those wonderful memories you have are in place because YOU were there, and YOU made your experiences wonderful. Why would your history of success suddenly change?
Life is an adventure, and sometimes change is scary. Just take it a moment at a time, breathe, and engage in what's coming next. It's kind of like your own, personal movie, and your next chapter is about to happen. How exciting!
As for your memories, my young friend, you're not losing the experiences of elementary school. They'll always be with you, and you can always go visit (whether in person or in the windmills of your mind) your old teachers, the playground, your friends, etc. But new ones, with new friends and new experiences (some great, some not so great, just like you've had in the past) are on their way.
You're going to be just fine. Just be the best YOU that you can be, so that you can be your own best company!

This seems to be very common at your age, and it is okay to mourn what is past for a while. Realize that the memories themselves are still with you; they don't have to go away. Part of the problem is most likely that you don't have anything new yet to replace elementary school. If you can keep busy this summer, the sadness will soon go away. If not, you might have to wait until Fall, and I can guarantee, once you get into middle school, you will spend less time thinking about the past.

I was sad when I graduated elementary school too because everyone there was like my family. I mean, you were in elementary school for 5 to 6 years, and you made lots of friends there. If you think of 6th grade as just a new year, it makes it better. All of your friends will be there, and people from other elementary schools are going to be there. I promise you that you will make new friends and new memories!!! Middle school is a big and exciting step forward, and all of your teachers and friends will help you through your first year. You get electives and lockers, and if you don't like one of your teachers, you only are with her/him for one class period. I promise you that you will have a blast and make a ton of new memories to go with the ones from elementary school!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember, your elementary school years are just the beginning of a lifelong journey. Those memories from elementary school will always be a part of who you are as a person, and you will always be able to look back on them fondly. But they will only be a small part of the total you, a unique individual who will grow and develop new interests and abilities and make new friends and connections which will help to make new memories through the years. I think you may be surprised at how minor your elementary school years seem to you when you get older. The really powerful and lasting memories only begin to take shape when we have reached a certain stage of mental maturity, when we meet individuals, friends, teachers and mentors who really impact our lives, because they will be the ones who put the finishing touches on our adult characters. To make yourself feel better, just try to think of the new memories that will be created in middle school and beyond. In fact, you can begin to make new ones now, by interacting with your friends and family and by meeting new people, who hopefully will help you along in your journey through life.

I've been there. I know it may be sad, to think of moving on from all those great memories. Instead of being sad, just smile when you think about them. Be happy to have had some great times, and look forward to even more memories you will make in the coming years. Your life is barely beginning. Be happy! Middle school is a great and unforgettable time in your life.

You very well might be sad, but look at all the new doors opening up for you. A new school and new friends, I was the same way but after two weeks, those memories were still there but I wasn't sad any more. Just you wait and see!

Think about this.
"hey, I'm pretty much halfway done with school, and I know, there's plenty of good memories from elementary school, but now I can make even more fun, crazy ones in a whole new school with all of my friends that graduated with me."
And throw a party or sleepover for your success.

First of all you do not 'graduate' from elementary school. you are promoted. A phase of your life is over, you are getting older. You will have more freedom in middle school. The teachers are fun, you learn a lot and will get to make new friends.

You have to deal with alot of rude people. Teachers suckand they only think of you as their paycheck.
