That's because people want to be like someone else. They are strong, good looking, make lots of money, etc.
It's the same thing with sports players, kids trying to throw or run or whatever like the ones they adore, who make probable millions of dollars.
People should just try to be themselves and others will love them just the way they are.

haha :D Well authors write from human personality traits, so everyone can relate. Even if they are fictional they are designed to appeal to you in an emotional way. So are they really fake if their personalities are drawn from real life? Some like to throw in social commentary in their films to get you to think. Believe it or not, lots want more movies with more substance to them. That's the art of story telling my dear.

Because the masters of fiction and cinematography/screenwriting have a fascinating way of showing the human condition through their writing. It serves as a instrument for which to ponder our values, beliefs, ideals, passions, inspirations, dark sides, etc. From these works of art, some find they are better able to understand themselves and the word around them.

In a way they are. There is always truth to any book. Maybe they just like playing dress up?

I'd say it's because these people lack any sort of personality. They don't have hobbies, or interests, so they steal them from people that don't exist.
