Dr. Jack Kevorkian is being released from prison and I was reading an article about the "victims" and it made me think. Now some of their family members did not agree with what Kevorkian did and others were VERY grateful. I personally feel like if someone is dying of an internal disease and suffering then they should have the right to die. I mean we do it to animals to be "humane" so whats so different when it comes to people. I know personally I would rather die then live my life in constant pain and agony just lying there with no hope for the future. I only agree with assisted suicide under the terms that someone is GOING to die for sure from a disease and this is done just to shorten their misery though (no mental cases need apply)!!! Anyways, what do you guys think? Right, wrong and why??

There are lots of reasons to keep someone alive no matter what they wish .

It's called Dollars$$$$$$

And I also agree with you I want to live a quality life or not at all!!

People that have murdered someone haven't gotten as much time as Kevorkian!!

Death is part of your destiny what's wrong with making it a little sooner

I agree! Me and my mum have agreed that we will give permission for each other to turn off life support if there was no possible way that we can have a good quality life and if it meant that we were deteriating and suffering. I think it should be allowed. When a horse breaks its leg, they kill it to relieve it of more pain, so why not do the same for a human being.

If I am dying and no use to society. If my body is in misery and I cannot enjoy life. I would like to be able to go with some dignity before every drop of who I am was gone as well as any money I wanted to give to my children. I didn't make a choice on being born. Maybe I could make a choice on my death.

the version is animals are no longer equivalent to human beings. The demise and suffering of a human is distinctive. we gained't basically positioned human beings out of their miseries. there are a number of ethical and ethical matters to weigh out. some ought to assert that helping somebody with suicide is homicide and as you're saying the guy is going to die in any case so why no longer help. we don't have skill over demise. human beings kill one yet another and themselves customary inspite of the shown fact that it does no longer propose they had some skill over life. there will be some who will say that's my life and that i will do regardless of I please with it. In end, i think of that's misguided and could be reconsidered until the guy desperate that that's what they needed if one in all those situation is to ensue.

i think people should be able to control their own fate. even if they don't have a medical condition, if they want to die, i think they should be allowed to make the decision.
