Hi
I am working in england on work permit. According to contract, employer wants me to give 2 month notice.

I gave employer 15 days notice and i am ready to buy notice period. I have offered them money for 1 and half month.

Employer is saying they cannot relieve me and i have to serve 2 months notice.I cannot buy notice period.

Also, they are threating that they will inform home office to cancel my new work permit.

is it right or they are just threatning me?

Ask them what they would do if you died. I'll bet that they will say that they would get a replacement for you.

But, if you agreed to give them 2 months notice when you took the job, then you have a moral obligation to do so.
