Usually, the seat cushion is attached with bolts or retainer spring clips at the bottom outer front edges--sometimes you have to push down on the corners and push backwards to get the retainers to disengage. Then the cushion should come out and the seat back is usually held in by 2 or 3 bolts at the bottom edge---remove the bolts and the seat back should push up and out.
This is a general removal procedure--your Focus may be slightly different but the seats are usually removed in a similiar fashion. You may have to push and pull the seat cushion a bit to see where it's holding up and may have to reach in underneath it to feel for a retainer.
