latins are considered people who live in the american countries that were colonised by spanish and portuguese
we italians are europeans
it's not possible feature a populations about the language spoken, because in this case also the Philippinos who speak spanish, that is a latin origin language, should be as the italians

Any country that uses Latin as the basis of it's language is considered Latin. That includes Spain, Italy and France. As to whether you can call yourself a Latin, in truth yes but most consider the Hispanic countries as Latin.
(P.S. I am Italian too but have never called myself a Latin).

Technically speaking, yes because when you say people are Latin you mean your language comes from the mother tongue of ancient Rome. French, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Romanain and Romanch are Latin languages.

Im 100 % Italian and I honestly do not think that Italians consider them selves Latin. When you say latin most ppl think of hispanic. Check off caucasion. Its to bad they don't have a section that just says Italian___.

no and technically nobody is "latin" a made up term like hispanic..there is no hispania....rather south america was over run by many europeans from spain with latin the lingo being used...the lingo has since died and there is no real use for the term...but in our braindead society it's used as if it's really a race of people.
nobody in mehico or south america every spoke spanish or portuguese until they were conquered and ruled by europeans....those terms still stick though they're antiquated.
