Duncan is just a center moved over to power forward. His two MVP and 3 rings makes him a solid player regardless of where he plays.

Duncan has always been a Power Forward since he was drafted out of Wake. He's the best power forward ever to play the game he's won championships, he has the best fundamentals which aren't taught anymore, and he doesn't do anything to get into the spotlight unlike other players. Malone has never won a championship neither did Barkley. When did heighth have to be with being the best? Barkley wishes he could have been like Duncan then he would know what it would be like to have a ring.

I think Chuck Barkely is the best Power Forward ever. I really consider Tim Duncan a Center though. I think Tim Duncan accomplished so much and is a 3 Time (soon to be 4 time) NBA Champion, so that says alot.

I still think its Charles Barkley, Championship or not.

Yes, without question.

This question was resolved when he was handed the 2005 NBA Finals MVP trophy.

Here's your top 5 PF's of all-time.

1.) TIM DUNCAN
2.) Bob Petit
3.) Charles Barkley
4.) Elgin Baylor
5.) Elvin Hayes

The real question should read........

Is Tim Duncan the best player in NBA History?

That answer of course is a resounding NO. However, he's not as far away as most people think. Duncan may be top 5 or 6 and he's certainly one of the top 10 of all time.

...Here's my top 10 players....(All-Time)

1.) WILT CHAMBERLAIN
2.) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
3.) Earvin Johnson
4.) Tim Duncan
5.) Michael Jordan
6.) Larry Bird
7.) Oscar Robertson
8.) Julius Erving
9.) Jerry West
10.) Elgin Baylor

Bill Russell, Bob Petit, George Gervin, Moses Malone, Hakeem Abdul-Olajuwon, John Havlicek, Bernard King, Charles Barkley, Rick Barry, Jerry Lucas, Shaquille O'Neal, Earl Monroe, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, Dan Issel, Chris Webber, Willis Reed and Isiah Thomas are among the other all time great players.

Best PF/C, certainly. But I don't know if I'd classify Tim as a pure power forward, his style is ... different.

The game has changed over the past 20 years. Is Dirk Nowiztski a power forward? What about KG, is he a small forward? Was Charles Barkley a power forward or small forward? In either case, I'll take Barkley in his prime over Karl Malone as the best PF ever :)

But Tim has been the most consistently great over a long period of time, with the rings to back it up.

No, Charles Barkley is. Just compare their career stats.

And on top of that, Charles Barkley was only 6'6", 6 inches shorter than Tim Duncan. Find me another player in the world who could pull down 12 boards a game, put up 20 PPG, and play 40 minutes, at that height and weight, IN THE POST. No one can do that. That's why Charles is the best PF all-time.

i think of in case you upped the assists from 4 to love 6, Larry chook may be the only one on the checklist. of direction, chook replaced into small forward, McHale replaced into ability forward. Mchale did no longer get many assists although simply by fact he replaced into unstoppable and scored each and every time he have been given the ball. i might somewhat take Duncan over Garnett. you may regulate statistics besides you may desire to make your component (look at political polls). Duncan is a large team participant! that's what's important! look at Joe Dumars. His stats have been overshadowed by skill of Isiah Thomas. yet Dumars replaced into the straw that stirred the drink in Detroit, and an even bigger reason than Thomas for his or her titles.

One on one probably not the best. But if you just look at accomplishments yes he is the greatest and for the fact that he never won a championship with another great player in his prime. Ginobili and Parker aren't top 20 in the league.

He may be one of the best, but I would have to go with Karl Malone. I think the list starts with him.
