Who would win in a fight in neutral territory? Polar Bears are the largest land predators on Earth while the Elephant is the largest animal on Earth. If the two came to blows on neutral ground (one that doesn't favor any of the animals) who would win?

My apologies, Elephants are the largest LAND animals on Earth. The largest animal in the world is the Blue Whale.

Being so tall, the elephant could be struck by lightning and die...

In fact, Elephants live in territories where rain falls only once per year or so. They can see the storm coming and hide in time. That's the only argument I will give in favor of the polar bear. But you said neutral environment. So, i guess that the polar bear will have to say his prayers and then.... run forrest, ruuun!!!! HE will sense the storm and run for cover.

Elephant, the sheer size of the elephant would be too much for a polar bear, it would be scared away (all things equal of course).
