I am close to completeing my B.A. in political science. I am going to go for my masters. But i am confused. I don't know what i am going to do with my life!? I don't want to become a teacher or lawyer. I want to help people. I want to fight for human rights. activisim. I know that doesn't pay... Any ideas?

By age 30, about 75% of all people are doing something different than they planned in college.
Most good employers are looking for people with good communication skills and good perspective. Your education will serve you well in that regard.
An MBA is a good all purpose degree. If you go for an M.S. you are making more of a permanent career decision.
Talk with as many recent grads about their careers as possible.

Well, you can teach college after your masters and/or Ph.d and still do human rights work. You can get a masters in Urban Planning. Or how about a masters in Economics with your Political science degree or Master of Arts in International Political Economy. Or a MA in Public policy with your MA in Political Science. There are ton of ways you can still be politically active no matter what you go into. You could even get an MBA with it.
BTW, teaching an law are ways of helping people. I teach college and it is very gratifying when it comes to a feeling of giving back. The nice thing about it is that you also can make a living doing it. With law, there is environmental law, constitutional law, and probably a kind of law that involves economic justice. There are alot of new fields opening up all the time in law that is considered giving back.
