If it's a switch, and you don't care about safety, and your not selling the car, why not connect the switch wires together so that it always allows the car to be started no matter what?

Wirediagram.com--not free but cheap. Just connect the right wires together to bypass the switch temporarily and make sure not to start the car in gear---or let anyone else start it until it's fixed right. Neutral safety switches are sometimes used for the backup lights also so make sure the wires are connected right if there's more than two.

earlier you positioned a wrench to the brake lines, pay attention that the vehicle has what's talked approximately as an accumulator that sits acceptable there with the grasp cylinder. that is with regard to the dimensions of a softball, probable black, and is composed of brake fluid below very severe tension which would be depressurized earlier you open the equipment. in case you fail to try this, then you're in for a ask your self. The source of this suggestion is from the 1990 Cadillac production facility provider instruction manual.

Try Autozone.com. They have information on the site that may help you. I was able to look up information to do my own work on my 1987 Chevy Celebrity. I believe they also have the wiring diagram for your vehicle.
