The screen on my dell laptop is about to pack in. The cost of repair is £350 so thinking of getting a new one instead.

If I buy a macbook, will my windows office software work on it? If not, will the documents, emails etc I already have transfer from PC to Mac, and work?

Thanks

You can use a software solution called Move2Mac for this. But if you're a dedicated Windows user, wait till Leopard's released and use Boot Camp to use all of your Windows based files and folders to your Mac (while using the Windows partition of your hard drive).

Yep it will work on a Mac, and if you want to get deep into it, you can even run what is called "Parallels" which runs an entire copy of Windows (yep the whole shebang, which includes Office) as a separate window, heh, heh) on a Mac

the fast answer: something you are able to open in living house windows, i will open with a Mac. i will setting up living house windows on an Intel Mac, for the uncommon prevalence that i in my view could desire to apply a living house windows based application, which in no way happens for me. workplace exists for Mac, even an open source unfastened version called NeoOffice. e-Mails are a time-honored that works with each and every thing.

well it all depends on what mail client etc you use on the PC, but generally yes, you will be able to transfer all your documents etc. Furthermore, you will be able to run your PC software, but you will need a third party application such as parallels desktop to do this.
