no one really knows but energy does get trapped in a certain way where something strong happened, for me when my partner died i tryed everything to feel close to him so i went to this place where i once took him before he died and we had the most magical night there i think we fell in love all over again so when i went back there i could feel his strong presence, it felt like he was still there, that night we were together still plays over and over. Its like our energy got trapped there along with our memories.....

Because often they are. Most reported ghosts don't sit around rapping on the wall telling people about the afterlife. They replay some tramautic or familiar scene from their lives.

You'll hear four footsteps - the silence- they guy walked four steps into the house then was shot. You'll see a woman in the window gazing out looking for her lover. She's been doing that for centuries.

You'll hear an arguement in an empty room. That's just how it goes!

The theory goes I think, that acts highly charged with strong emotions, are some how captured in the fabric of a place or room and replayed at certain times. It is only a theory, but I think quite a good one.

From my understanding the best way I can describe it is....
Energy exists, this we know! Energy presents itself in different ways. Imagine an event, which involves extreme emotion.... often sadness or hate..... the energy that is behind these emotions is released into the atmosphere and there it stays, indefinitely, until it is dispersed! A bit like a delayed echo of energy!
It doesn't have to be buildings though, there are reports of replayed battles fought on empty fields....

This is entirely different to Spirits and elementals!!

Does that help?? :)

It could well be. if a person who lived long ago saw tv and writing coming up on a screen seemingly by itself they would freak. There are a lot of things in the universe that we don't understand. Our brains don't seem to be able to. You can record music onto plastic tape and play it back. So why shouldn't stones record past events. These are just a few examples. Not seen or heard anything paranormal myself, and a lot of the time it is overworked imagination, but I would freak out if i did!!

Unless you have actually died, become a ghost and then come back to life and reported it, everything is speculation. Someone somewhere has the perfect theory to fit every situation. If it suits your beliefs or ideas, you will believe it. If you don't believe in ghosts, you are in the category of sceptic. Same rules apply to just about anything on this planet that does not have a rational explanation.

They believe that emotions are so strong during the stressful periods in these houses that a ghost is like photographic negative and the images become imprinted into the fabric of the property

Not all 'ghosts' are reply of traumatic events. There are ghosts who are disembodied spirits who have yet to find peace.
Then there are events which hold so much emotion, physical energy or "charge" that it leaves an imprint, much like a photograph or movie. There are no spirits involved, it is just like a scene that plays over and over again.

Hi because the "energy" from that traumatic event is captured there due to its emotional importance and effect on all around.

Dont know about you, but I wouldnt buy a house where a murder or suicide occured.

Because they have to come up with some answer. They just cant tell the truth and say I haven't a clue I think some of their work is funded, so if they tell the truth the funding would stop and no one wants to loose their job.
