Global warming...are we reading too much into it??? I think that the earth goes thru cycles and this is one of them.....

"I have no doubt that global — that a trend of global warming exists," NASA administrator Michael Griffin told National Public Radio's Morning Edition in an interview that aired early Thursday. "I am not sure that it is fair to say that it is a problem we must wrestle with."

I also think that the government is pushing this so we go buy the things they want us to buy....what do you think..

I have to agree with you, somewhat. History has proven that the weather has gone in cycles. The Ice age shows that. The fact that marine life is being found fossilized in some of our deserts, proves that nature has it's own way of taking care of this. I do think that pollution and heat admissions from factories and vehicles has caused an acceleration...there are things that we should be looking into, to slow it back down.

I have little doubt that there is global warning. Where I live we often got snow in January and February and it would lie on the ground for a few weeks. I don't recall any this year.

It is with great sorrow that I can not believe the politicians or the scientists they had paid to get the answer they want so that they have another way to tax us.

I notice that those who shout the loudest about global warming stand to profit the most

Perhaps that's just a coincidence

Your first mistake is using Fox News as a source. Yes weather is cyclical but if you look at the facts you will see that the warming effect is happening at a far quicker rate than it has in the past. Every reputable scientist knows that we are going though an unnatural phase of warming. It is just a matter of how fast and how much damage it will do. Look at recent weather. All the symptoms are present, floods, droughts, extremely severe storms, etc. Even Bush has finally admitted that there is a problem. It has to be pretty bad if he has given in to science.
Do yourself a favor, look at some real sources like Scientific American and you will see what the real facts are and what science really thinks.

Put it this way: temperatures seem to be going up. There are plenty of records indicating that.

We don't know for sure why this is happening. But it is happening. And if it keeps happening, it will cause some major damage.

So we have to act accordingly. I really don't want more of the ice caps to melt, so that I can have oceanfront property in Roanoke, Virginia.

i think your taking this a little bit too far,"the government just wants us to buy stuff?" Do you not see that this IS actually happening?Open your eyes, the earth is under going some major climate changes. You would have to be pretty stupid to think that this isnt going to effect us. maybe not today maybe not tommarow, but definatley in our lifetime or our childrens lifetime. I think this is a really good effort!! we need to save the earth or otherwise drown in our own stupidity
