Help me understand why ===religion===?
Matthew 7:1-2
do not judge, or you too will be judged. for in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you
Romans 2:1
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 14:10,13
10You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. 13...therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another...
James 4:11-12
11... Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it... 12... who are you to judge your neighbour?

How then is it okay to judge someone and condemn them to hell for being homosexual? Arent they going to hell aswell?. That is a big contradiction...

that's what we all keep saying, but any bible thumper will complain back that somehow our "sin" is worse than anything they could ever do, cause we are living in sin or some other BS. It's posted in here non-stop and anyone judging us doesn't make them any better than us... The religious banter that happens in here drives me nuts at times. Because they view us as wrong and the only point they can make is "the bible says so..." :)

oh!! this is great! i found something else that is a big contradiction aswell!!
i found it on another question, this quote.
"God loves everyone and does not want anyone to perish. In the bible especifically in Genesis, there were a city called GOMORAH, and many people were not following God' s law. They were in fact gay, God destroyed the whole city because this is forbid and not allowed. It is a sin and it people today don't convert they will be punish severely by God. "

but i thought God didnt like people suffering??

thats because the bible is a load of crap

it contradicts itself SEVERAL times over

lol =)

oh and another thing...
according to the bible, all sins are the same, or all sins are equal, soooo if you judge your brother (or neighbour etc) for being gay, then you are breaking one of the laws in the bible, and basically sinning as bad as if you were gay, therefore, you are "just as bad (even though gay people arent bad, you get what i mean....)
oh and if all sins are equal (as claimed by the bible) why were the ten commandment invented, why are there seven deadly sins, and why will a person be severly punished for being gay, when telling a white lie is exactly the same?

See? Three more contradictions

lets face it people
the bible
is just another novel...

Not all Christians are like that. I am a Christian, and I am in total agreement with you. I don't know if they will necessarily go to hell, but you certainly cannot claim that judging people is wrong and that we must love our neighbor as ourselves, and then turn around and condemn people for experiencing a genetic situation that we can never fully understand. Even, for the sake of argument, if homosexuality is wrong, Jesus also said this: let he who is without sin cast the first stone. None of us is perfect. Right or wrong, it is none of my business what you do on your free time. Be the best person you can be, and no one should have a problem with that. Have a good one!

The point is its not ok to judge at all no matter who the person is, what they stand for etc. People that say its ok to judge are just trying to justify their prejudices. Homosexuals can go to heaven just like straight people. Being homosexual may be a sin but we all have sin and any sin will keep us out of the Kingdom of Heaven. All we need is Jesus Christ and our sin is washed away by the blood that he has shed for us. Just to let you know, I don't judge homosexuals. I am tolerant and I respect them.

Please excuse my answering in the LBGT section, but the title grabbed my attention - and I claim some expertise.

From my perspective; as a therapist, helping people to let go of their pain; as a Buddhist, seeking wisdom and freedom from suffering; and finally as some old bloke who's been around a bit, I have to say this:
That judgementalism - in all its forms - is one of the worst things you can possibly do TO YOURSELF.
Every judgement you make; 'good or bad', 'nice or nasty', every single one damages you and keeps you locked into pain at one level or another.
The danger is really not what our judgements do to other people - it's what they do to us!

no as it says in the good book judge not(but we can express an opinion)We all stand before the only judge and it is he that will condem you to hell for the evil that u have comitted,because you can not enter his kingdom with sin in your heart,so i spose if yr genetically gay yr genetically a sinner and have no chance of redemption(adopting yr theory)If u chose to be gay(and this is my theory)then u can cease yr wicked behaviour abd ask god to forgive you,

Jesus tells us to be acceptable as our Father in heaven is acceptable. God informed Abraham to stroll in the previous me and be acceptable. So who precisely are you going to take heed to, the wolf Paul or Jesus and God? Secondly Christ exchange into no longer approximately faith. The Samaritan woman confirmed that as quickly as he went and talked to her. He did no longer ask her what exchange into her faith because of the fact he did no longer care. He went to talk to her and to tell her with regard to the reality. in case you elect for to renowned the reality with regard to the bible as an entire. pass get the e book, the different Bible written by employing Willis Barnstone. it somewhat is a superb e book and it supplies scripture that have been taken out of the bible and clarify it to the place you does no longer could desire to question the bible or God anymore. The Christian bible is a million/2 actuality, in assessment to this e book that explains existence, the dinosaurs age. lots of solutions that's no longer contained in the Christian bible.

Who is judging whom?. YOU must decide what is right or wrong! You must not spin what is written in the Bible to try an ameliorate what is an egregious error in YOUR judgment!
The Bible, written by men a long time ago, does condemn homosexuality; for a reason.

Also, the Bible is not a religion!

Because it is not okay to judge someone else. But the bible does say that homosexuality is a sin. The bible says no man shall lie with another man as he does with a woman. Everybody sins, but is not okay to judge a person for their sins, for we are all children of God. We mustn't judge, we must help.
