i dont see why. although you deserved the suspension, you should not get expelled. making fun of someone isnt a good enough reason -- but it does depend on what you said. if you wrere sexist/racist/homophobic or anything like that, then there might be a chance. if not, you can complain if you are expelled.
also, you only need to click once to post your question...ok?

At this point, your punishment is suspension. If you make fun of the girl again, it is very likely that you will be expelled. Instead of writing a letter to the principal, did you think of apologizing to the girl you made fun of? The principal will not show sympathy for something that you did wrong. You knew it was wrong and did it twice. You are old enough to know that all actions have consequences. Now you must live with those consequences.

Youre not going to be expelled, dont you guys ever have school manuals? It has rules as to what actions would result to.
Since youre only 12 and probably dont have the slightest clue about human dignity and its value. Getting you expelled wouldnt change who you are. As to what you told that girl, I bet it was at the moment thing wasnt it?
I was bullied at that age, and you dont have any idea how much damage words can do. Five years later, it still brings me to tears, and I know it doesnt sound like a big deal right now. Since youre probably thinking about your reputation more than what you did to that girl.
Though, your reputation will take damage. And when you reach high school and youre still in a catholic school, maybe you'll learn about justice. And since youve mentioned youre an A student probably rigorously studying for Religion class. You'll come across a word called respect. And that my dear, is something you have not yet developed. What you did, not only damaged her, but damaged you. By the time you get back from your school, Youd be the mean straight A student in your class.
An apology letter wouldnt erase people's memories. They gave you a suspension, so you can think about what youve done and maybe realize that writing that letter just doesnt mean youve accomplished a task like homework and youre homefree.
I think you owe that girl more than just an apology but also an explanation as to why you did that. It sounds hard. But you know what, great people have to go through moments that hurts their pride and self-image, but in the end, you get that gratitude that you know youve done something good. Cept, you dont get a ribbon for that.

I seriously doubt you will be expelled simply for making fun of a fellow student.
The school wants you to repent for the wrongdoing inflicted upon the girl you've made fun of. Perhaps the point is, in your suffering, you are supposed to gain a deeper appreciation for the suffering you've caused the girl you've made fun of.
The Catholic school is trying to teach you a very Catholic lession - we reap what we sow. If you want to cause people suffering, suffering will come to you.
It's good you've apologized to the priniciple, but what about the girl? Can I assume you've apologized to her as well? If so, great! If not, you should seek an opportunity to apologize to her.
You don't have to speak of your "big plans for the future" in the past tense. You can still acheive your goals. It's just that, if suspensions become a common thing in your life as a student, expect your goals to become harder to acheive with each suspension.

I don't think you'll be expelled, if that was going to be your punishment you wouldn't have been suspended. Unless your school does things differently. I went to a catholic high school and I was suspended for one day, but it didn't even go on my high school record. No worries, from now on behave in school and work hard! Making fun of people gets you no where in life, remember that.

What exactly did you say? If you were making fun of how she looks or refering to certain parts of her body it could be seen as sexual harassment.
Tell your parents exactly what happened and have them talk with the school . I would write an apology to the girl and give a copy to the principal too.

I doubt it. They would have expelled you straight away if thats what they wanted. They just want to make the point "do unto others as you would have them do to you" I mean it has to be miserable to have people make fun of you, so it is kind of cruel.

Here's the truth. Don;t make fun of people. It's not nice. How would you feel if someone was making fun of you. wouldn;t be very nice, would it? Think about that long and hard. then talk to your principal.
