There are several ways to get around this. I went on a contraceptive pill at about 14 to help the pain and it worked wonders. I found 'Ponstan' (Mefenamic Acid ) great, its one of the oldest anti inflammatories in the book but just because Ibuprofen didn't do the job, doesn't mean other anti- inflammatories won't. Others use Naprogesic (naproxen). If you want to go the natural way, try evening primrose oil. It may help with any hormonal issues, and does wonders for your skin! Also, make sure you are taking your medication regularly, don't just use one dose and not repeat it - paracetamol is practically useless unless you are taking it 4hourly.

I have similar prob. Cant really do anything about the acne except try to keep your skin as clean as possible so it doesn't get infected and therefore making it more noticeable. For the cramps I usually take 4 or 5 Motrin with a glass of water and avoid anything with caffeine or alot of sugar which could also help with the skin prob. The Motrin usually helps the cramps become more tolerable. But don't overdue it on the Motrin. Taking to many in a day over time could cause kidney prob.
Hope this helps

I get really bad PMS too. The best thing that helps me is extra sleep, a high dose of B- complex (liquid form) and calcium. Also stay away from caffeine and sugar and force yourself to exercise.

My daughter used to have cramps that would put her to bed until she started taking black cohosh just before her period. It is available at any health food store and even Wal-Mart. Get it in pill form though as the liquid is extremely nasty tasting.
