The best president is probably still Washington. FDR, Reagan, Truman, Lincoln, and Wilson would be near the top of the list.

Jimmy Carter remains the worst president of all time. Andrew Johnson, Grant, and Harding round out the bottom of the list.

With the exception of Reagan, our post-WWII presidents have been pretty unremarkable. A day will come when schoolchildren can't remember their proper order, just like most people forget where William Taft fits in.

Somewhere in the #15-20 range. He's had more to deal with than any president except maybe Lincoln or Roosevelt. He's really done a bang up job in the war on terror, a rather mediocre job with the Iraq war/occupation (3000 deaths is actually low when you consider it...), a decent job with the economy (mostly he's left it alone) and a downright terrible job on immigration. I would rank him slightly higher than his father.

My top five Presidents:

1. George Washington - better than most people know.
2. Lincoln -I'm from the south, so he better be up there.
3. Ronald Reagan - every American should thank god every day that he was our president during the 80's
4. Theodore Roosevelt - the good Roosevelt
5. Thomas Jefferson - terrible military ideas, but otherwise great.

6. would probably be Madison.

President Abraham Lincoln was the best President of all time for keeping the United States intact and unite the bickering Americans putting an end to the Civil War of the country to become a superpower.

Abraham Lincoln
Franklin Roosevelt
Harry Truman
Thomas Jefferson
George Washington
George W. Bush
JFK
not an exact order or ranking
Johnson, Nixon, Regan all did some good things but also did alot of bad things. So I do not list them. Unfortunately I do not know too much about other presidents.

George W. Bush is the WORST president the US has had and probably will have for quite some time. The very best would include Lincoln, both Roosevelts, Jefferson, and Washington.

Others near the bottom are Buchanan, Harding, Taylor, and Pierce

I would say my top three are TR, Ike, and Washington. I would not put Bush at the very last, but lowest quarter before all the "do nothing" presidents of the pre-Civil War age.

That's a tough one mine is Teddy Roosevelt for three reasons. He supported the workers but forcing companies to set work hours and decent wages, he advocated a strong military coupled with sound diplomacy, and finally he was an environmentalist, he founded our first National Park, he loved nature.

nicely.... he threw our national treasury to the Billionaires and left us with 2 notably costly foreign places wars and a great new concentration camp the place WE torture human beings like a collection of goddamned Nazis..... The little inebriated replaced into solid for his rich acquaintances.

Ronald Reagan. He almost single-handedly destroyed the evil empire (Soviet Union) without firing a shot.
