To pay for welfare so that poor people don't have to work and can sit around all day doing drugs and drinking? I am, raising taxes is the only way to go. We need to pay for all these lazy people and not for the soldiers in Iraq, they can do without because they are only killing other people anyway. Who agrees with me?

Even if you wanted to raise more money for welfare, raising tax RATES might very well REDUCE tax REVENUE - - it did when Bush '41 raised tax rates.

That's the funny thing - if you want to keep spending on boondoggle Democrat and Republican alike, your best bet is to make the tax cuts permanent because tax REVENUE is rising at 4 times the rate of inflation!

Who is for raising WHOSE taxes?

If your talking about raising taxes of the people who are already stuggling to survive, working 70 hour weeks, and barely able to feed, clothe, and house their families, I'm against.

If you're talking about raising the taxes of the people who own everything and have had their taxes slashed repeatedly, and who recieve most of the benefits of government, then I'm all for it.

You seem to want people for whom there aren't enough jobs, and their children, to starve to death. Why do you think that's a good thing?

I'm all for raising taxes to pay for what we use. Running a deficit forever is not the path to a healthy economy or a healthy nation. Plain and simple: as a nation we spend more than we take in.

I live in Canada. If I pay any more taxes, I will be paying the government for the privilege of having a job.

It's a good idea.

This system is too sick to survive, so raising taxes will help to bring about The Collapse that much sooner. Bring it on!

Ask your Halliburton-Exxon-Enron-Black Water friends about welfare...

This is all you have...the same old recycled empty rhetoric hate speech ?

Don't forget abortion, immigration, flag burning and the death penalty.....

All knowledge is good

You need some goodness
