I have heard the recovery from a csection is very hard- a friend of mine had both experiences and HATED the csection, but every situation is different. i had 2 vaginal deliveries and hope to never need a csection!

I had that choice and i did vaginal birth. The time of re coop is much shorter. plus a didn't want any kind of scare and c-section is a major surgery. I had twins one normal vaginal birth and my second girl was breech vaginal birth. I was up walking to the nicu that same day. I had a crazy delivery but I wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over again. After you see your kid(S) you for get all the pain. the stitches aer not bad. they have this spray you use I used it 3 or 4 times.

Vaginal birth. Carrying around a baby for 9 months is hard enough. Why would I want to have to suffer an extra 6 weeks. Plus, I hear a lot of people say that once you have a vaginal birth, the pain is over..unless of course you had to get stitches.

I had a vaginal birth with my first, and I'm really hoping for the same this time around. I had a wonderful experience giving birth to my son. I've seen c-sections on TV and I am absolutely terrified of being cut open. But of course, if that's what has to happen, then I'm okay with it. The main thing is that my baby is born healthy :)

If you have the option always opt for vaginal birth. You heal much faster, pain is much less for less time, baby is just as healthy. C-section is very painful, after birth. You will have a scar, (if that's any matter to you), You will be able to do less for a longer time and will probably have to remain in the hospital for a longer period at least a day or two.

Vaginal birth!! I've heard it's more painful at the time (unless you get an epidural :) but once the baby is out of your vagina, the pain is gone! and with a C-secion you have a longer recovery because it's considered a surgery.
Also, I've heard that the baby weight is harder to lose with a C-section and you always have a little incision mark on your stomach from the delivery.
good luck! God bless!

Well, I've never had a c-section so I don't really have experience with that.
But, I'd still take a vaginal birth anyday - less healing time since a c-section is surgery.

I guess I'd wonder why you are being given the option. Vaginal birth should always be tried first. The recovery period is less. The body goes through a normal period of cleansing. The more natural you have your baby the easier the recovery will be. Plus - no scars.

As tempting as it would be to get a c-section and avoid the pain of labor and childborth, I know that the recovery from a c-section is quite difficult. I have to be 'up and running' as soon as possible after childbirth, so cannot afford to pick c-section.... so I would prefer another vaginal birth.

Yeah vaginal birth. I dont wanna be cut open and have all those stitches. I hear that is the worst and very painful and you cant do much of anything for along time. Also it is much better for the baby and getting the fluid from his lungs etc..
