I don't really think so. He really hasn't done anything big in the solo realm since the late 80s though, and on his own I really don't feel he did enough to put him in the class of Elvis Presley, John Lennon, etc. This isn't a knock either. I think there is "hall of famer" and there is icon, which I wouldn't classify more than like 20 people there. I think it's a definate stretch to put him into that class.

You obviously cant tell when a person cant sing, When he did his solo act in the late 80's he was booed off the stage, As for the Eagles they had many hits as a group.
