I know someone like that, and I wonder if someone like that should have ever been born. It's mean but it's true. This is person is not attractive, or nice, not funny, greedy, lies constantly, and treats everyone w/ no respect. Is he an oxygen waster?

sounds like he's really unhappy, and takes it out on everyone. if you try to treat him nicely, it might bring about an unexpected change in his behavior.
it won't happen over night, and he might lash out, at first... but he will just want to see if you are for real. if he sees that you are genuinely nice, then he might chill over time.
don't let him take advantage of you, but do your part, and do the right thing. nothing bad can come of that.
