What's up with Icons?

How do i make an icon without downloading anything like Photoshop or whatever?

Getcher self a copy of IcoFX! It's the first piece of icon editing software I found that really works well! (I had carefully protected my ol' copy of imagedit.exe since the ol' days of Windows 2000 Resource Kit! and it was "okay" but fairly primitive...)

A .ico file is just a 16x16 or 32x32 bitmap or png file... You can use either of those or most any graphics program like freebie Gimp or cheapo PaintShop Pro or many others to create one.

Just "save as..."
