Not too pricey, but something nice still? Must be American, and not a street bike. I am looking for something more classic looking. Thanks

My opinion: A diesel bike would be nicely-called quickly as diesel vehicles are extra undemanding. while you're particularly thinking a cruiser, the closest factor i comprehend of is Royal Enfield, which there's a equipment attainable for making it a diesel. the certainty of the issue is that diesel motorcycles have been sturdy from the beginning up, as diesels are extra straightforward engines interior the 1st place. Do i think of that a diesel cruiser might desire to no longer have a low rumbling sound? have you ever heard a tractor???? You tell me! Diesels are low toned interior the 1st place, as they run at decrease RPMs. The conversion Royal Enfields have a decrease tone than a hog, and that's at 450cc! i'm no longer one for noise, yet guy, lots of the solutions right here have been way off, extra like guessing! With directly pipes, they are able to be very obnoxious! confident, the diesel bike has a area of interest industry. i do no longer comprehend in the event that they gets on nicely acceptable away, or in the event that they're going to substitute right into a fond memory, yet they are nicely shown!

The Sportster is probably going to be the cheapest you will find, and like mentioned before it is not completely American. I understand and respect your patriotism, but is your TV, stereo, etc. American made? I wouldn't get too hung up on the American motorcycle trip. If it weren't for the Japanese the sport of motorcycling wouldn't be where it is today. Okay Harley riders...bring on the thumbs down.

I think Harley's are up to about 60% made in America.
They are ASSEMBLED in USA from parts made all over the world, including France, Germany, Brazil (and a couple of other places I forget at present)
Most of the Japanese manufacturers have bikes actually
MADE IN USA ( some Honda's about 92%)
Most 'Japanese' ATV's are 100% made In USA

Victory are the only American bikes. Period. Harley's are mostly made in Korea and put together in the USA. Victory are American made except the brakes are made in Italy.

Sounds like you'd like Harley's Heritage Softail. They are not inexpensive though,$18,000-22,000 new though you could grab a used one for about $10,000.
There is Victory, they have a nice shape, but I am not impressed with them. Victory is a lot less money than Harley.
That's about it for American made.
