The normal dietary recommendation for women is actually about 2.2 liters, with pregnant women being advised to drink closer to 2.5. Try putting lemon in it, that always works for me.

I would be careful with the amount of water. Unusal thirst could be a sign of Gestational Diabetes. My wife had it 4 times out of 4 pregnancies. Having said that you should drink at least 64 oz of water a day. However check with your doctor or medical practioner for how much you should drink. Remember not only is every women different so is every pregnancy.

I have never heard of that, this is my second pregnancy. I get thirsty at times, but i've never experienced major thirst all the time. but pregnant woman should drink about 10 glasses of "fluid" a day. not nessasaraly just water. docs approve more of water, but at least drink something so there in no dehydration. I hope this helps.

It is really important to drink plenty of water. There is some speculation that dehydration is one of the causes of premature births. Sometimes thirst is masked as hunger, too, so if you are hungry you could try drinking a glass of water and see if that stops the "hunger". Good luck!

the best thing for you to do is to drink a glass of water with every meal instead of pop or well, milk is good. And instead of you grabbing that candy bar in the store, grab a bottle of water instead. I never really drank that much water until I hit the third trimester and bam, I was so thirsty I thought i was in a desert. Then, there was me having to run to the washroom every 5 minutes, but thats another question for another day! congrats on your baby and good luck!

im 3 months pregnant too and i'm still not into water. the only way i can half way drink water is to make sure its loaded with ice. other than that i vomit after drinking it. i have that metalic taste in my mouth and drinking water taste like drinking a glass full of nickles. i even tried the flavored water but thats not helping either. im just sticking to juice and milk for now.

The average person is supposed to drink 8 pints a day, a pregnant woman would want to drink as much or more.
Good Luck!

Drink a lot! Dehydration can lead to contractions-I was getting contractions at like 5 months and I was scared and called the OB's. The nurse had me drink loads of water and sure enough, they went away.
Good luck-just try to sip at it all day instead of like, chugging it. It will make it go down easier.
Best,
DN

8-10 glasses a day. I only drink a whole bottle of water a day. I know it's not enough but I can't stand drinking so much water because it makes me pee more than I need to. Just drink whenever you feel dehydrated.

Everyday I have a cup of water with ice cubes at my desk. If you drink a lot of water, it will cut back on your eating. Water will clean your body. If you don't like drinking just water add Crystal light with ice cubes.
