as for both sides of the plate in a game its been done hundreds of time mainly by Mantle and Murray

Bill Mueller of the Boston Red Sox.

On July 29, 2003 against the Texas Rangers, became the only player in major league history to hit two grand slams in a single game from opposite sides of the plate. He in fact hit three home runs in that game, and his two grand slams were in consecutive at-bats.

If you are talking about one home run from each side this has been done over 300 times by various players over the years. Mickey Mantle did it like 8 or 9 times. If you are talking about 2 home runs from one side and 2 home runs from the other side in one game, no one has ever done that.

That's happened quite a few times. the previous poster listed bill mueller, who had the most sensational case, but players like Mickey Mantle, Eddie Murray, Chili Davis, Rueben Sierra and many others certainly have done it as well.

Foo, it's been dozens of times. Mantle, Murray, Caminiti did it three times in two weeks... I was even at the game when Luis Alicea did it.
