i bought something off of ebay and, as usual, i paid the seller immediately by paypal. well the seller emailed be and told me that "I am not set up to accept credit card purchases through paypal." does anyone know how i can go about getting the money back? i dont know if i have to do a dispute or not, id rather not if thats possible but at the same time, i want my money back :(
if anyone could give me some solid idea of what to do that would be fantastic!
thanks so much!

that happened to me once. i was trying to sell somthing and they tried to pay me with credit card but i couldnt accept it. the money is in his account(sort of) but he has to upgrade his account to claim it. what i suggest you do is call paypal or email them and explain the situation.

The money is probably sitting in your paypal account. Have you checked that? I am not sure exactly how paypal handles credits. You may be able to apply it to another purchase or get it refunded to you. I would check your account activity and then email paypal they can be very helpful

If the seller has not claimed the payment from PayPal (as he claims he cannot do) you can visit your account at PayPay, and you should be able to reverse the transaction.

At this moment, the PayPal site is unbearably slow, so I am not able to provide you with an URL.

You can go into your paypal account and cancel payment- look around in there - you'll find it.
and, then, find another way to pay her ---which can be money you already have in your account- or if you have a checking account set up on your paypal site- you can have it come out of your checking- she accepts that kind-- and of course, money orders- and checks- which she might hold until it clears..
So- go into your paypal account- and cancel the payment going to her -- .and redo it a diff. way
