I have found Catholic Charities to be a good resource as to helping a pregnant woman know what kind of services are out there. they offer counselling and all sorts of stuff. You don't have to be messed up to go...they just help you through the process of understanding what is coming up in your life and how best to deal with it. You also don't have to be Catholic (I'm not and neither is the counselor I have been working with). I'd look it up in your area.

I have never received anything but unbiased and helpful information from them.
However what services any individual clinic offers depends on local law and the size of the clinic. If they can not help you they will certainly have a list of free or low-cost providers who can.
It would be good to go now even though generally you don't have your first prenatal appointment until 12-14 weeks, but it can take awhile to get an appointment at free and low-cost providers due to demand.
Some people are under the mistaken belief that Planned Parenthood are pro-abortion. They are not, they are just not pro-life. The only reason Planned Parenthood does a larger percentage of abortion/abortion referrals than the average OB is the people who use Planned Parenthood tend to be poor, young, and otherwise more likely to request an abortion.

I wouldn't go to planned parenthood for check up. When I was pregnant with my first, I went there first and they weren't good at helping you out with stuff you need. Look on google or yahoo search for an OB/GYN in your area.

Planned parenthood is really really helpful. Someone will sit down and discuss your pregnancy and what's going on with your body. They will give you lots of great information and suggestions as well as suggesting the right doctor/clinic/hospital without being judemental of your sitauation.

mmm... try going to a state-funded clinic for your check-ups, etc... but planned parenthood can help you find a place to go for all your medical needs. you need to take care of this asap, though. then try something like WIC to help pay for your food and baby stuff later on. :)
