how do u write the square root symbol instead of writing out the words. can u please explain it real easliy stp by step. thanks.

Draw a line over what you are taking the square root of, on the left of that number connect that line to a little "v" type thing. Look at this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_root

make a small letter "v", but extend the right line higher than the left. then make a horizontal line from the top point of that.
