Mine did. But they will shrink even more when put in a dryer on medium to high heat. If you really want to control how much they shrink, wash them in cold, use the dryer to shrink them. Put them in a load with a medium heat setting then check them every 10-15 minutes to see whether they have shrunk enough. (It helps to have another pair that are the perfect size laid out on the top of the dryer that you can lay the jeans on for comparison.)

Yes most likely. Check the care tag on the jeans and follow the directions but cold is safe.

it is greater useful to bathe them in heat water (as unfavorable to warm) in case you are able to, yet each and every each and every now and then it is going to be ok to apply warm water in case you get them somewhat grimy or something. the perfect element that shrinks them is the dryer, so which you would be able to avert maximum shrinking by potential of miraculous them to dry. It takes plenty longer, whether it works!

I would use Woolite and cold water. I wouldn't put them in the dryer.
