Anytime. Pregnancy is funny. My friend didn't get any until AFTER the baby was born and she began nursing! lol. I was one of those that found new ones every morning for most of my pregnancy.
Honey, I hate to tell you, but those creams DON'T work!!!! They are great for moisturizing, but don't keep the stretchies away!!
If you don't get any, lucky you. If you do get some.....just consider them well earned by motherhood!!!!

1] stretch mark tendency is somewhat hereditary [is your mom same body build, skin tone, and pregnancy weight gain as you? ]
2] Don't gain too much weight - at 18 weeks you should have gained about 9 pounds [ approximately 1/2 pound per week first 20 weeks, and 1 pound per week the last 20 weeks, to total about 30 pounds. ] Excess weight gain is a big contributor to stretch marks, and anything over 30 pounds sticks to your butt anyway.
3] eat a quality diet - no fried, or fast or junk foods, not even diet. Be sure to take your prenatals every day, for your baby and to keep you [ and your skin ] healthy.
4] drink a lot - about 1/2 gallon a day
5] I would use a rich, hypoallergenic cream for your belly [ and
boobs ], because they will itch like crazy. Also keep your nails smooth, so you don't wake up with scratches all over.
[ People smile when you walk down the street rubbing or scratching your belly, but you get very odd looks if you are scratching your breasts! ]
6] if you are comfy in a bikini, go for it! Buy one for your current bust and hip size, or a size larger - you don't want any parts escaping!
7] Be sure to use a good sunscreen - you may be more sensitive to the sun [ and sunburnt belly buttons are no fun.]
It will be increasingly difficult to do sidestroke, but floating on your back will be a breeze! Swimming is great exercise, and will keep your back strong for those last few months.

Well I use palmers tummy butter and I'm almost 36 weeks and haven't gotten a new stretch mark yet This could be due to the fact that this is my 2nd and I got plenty the first time any way I like the maternity swim suits they are really cute and designed to accentuate the tummy yet for now if you are not showing you may want a non maternity style I personally at 18 weeks would just see how they fit and what you like best cuz I'm sure you are not yet huge!! and most likely you will not start really stretching till around 30 weeks or so...............everyone is different but I think that is when I got them with my first......

I put cocoa butter with vitamin E everyday on my breasts, tummy, and booty and I got no stretch marks on my breast, white stretch marks on my tummy just around my belly button and ugly purple stretch marks on my butt so, I think it might be true that no matter what you do you can't prevent stretch marks but try the the cocoa butter with vitamin E, something is better than nothing.
My stretch marks appeared around week 31, I didn't notice the booty ones until after the baby was born.
Wear what ever makes you feel good.

I started out really small so I didn't get my stretch marks till prob. 8 months or so. I guess it depends on how big the baby will be, your weight gain, genetics, ect.
I would say biy what you would like to wear..If a 2 piece makes you comfortable, then wear it, who cares what other people think.
Also, I tried every oil, and lotion avaialble to man and nothing worked, although mine aren't really bad I do still have them, and the worst spots too...(my butt and boobs)

ok you need to rub vitamin cream and coa-coa butter on your belly every day at night and in the morning to avoid stretch marks...and since your 18 weeks you should start doing it right away...it really works

I got them in my 8th month in my first pregnancy, and my 7th month in my current pregnancy. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to prevent them (I used cocoa butter lotion religiously, but I still got them). It all depends on your genetics and how much weight you gain. If your mom got them, chances are you will as well. They do however fade with time, so they won't stay purple forever.
