Is your chatting any different from chatting with a co-worker in the lunchroom, or the neighbor, or the guy sitting next to you at the doctor's office?
Do you freely admit that you are married and not looking, when you chat? Do you ignore requests for "view cams" and sex talk? Do you flirt online?
Is your marriage in any kind of trouble? Does hubby know about your chatting? If he doesn't, would it bother him? When you answer these questions, you'll know the answer to this question.

No, you're not technically cheating. But you must understand what you're wife is feeling when you're chatting with someone you don't know on the internet, instead of talking to her. It probably makes her feel like you're no longer interested in her as a person, so the internet is where you'll get your kicks. I mean, if my husband were chatting it up on the internet it would bother me because if my husband doesn't find me interesting any more. Instead of talking to the wife about anything you want, you have to go to a complete stranger and go to YA to see if it's technically cheating. It sounds, even from what little you said, that your relationship is suffering.
You need to stay offline for a little bit and spend some more time with your wife. I bet she'd appreciate that. But if you keep chatting, you'll find some person that you'll actually want to meet... and what happens after that?

Chatting can lead to other things.. Questions you need to ask yourself...What is the point of you chatting online? What are you talking about while your chatting? Are you having clean conversations? If the answer to these questions are not positive then you do not need to be chatting!!

Talking to people through the internet is not cheating...even if you ever get feelings for that person (like someone before me said) that is still not cheating. If you meet that person and have intentions then that is cheating. Casual conversation is fine, just ask yourself would you be okay with your partner doing exactly what you are doing? If the answer is yes then I think its fine, if the answer is no, well maybe you should reconsider your online relations.
God bless and take care!

It really depends on what you are chatting about. If you allow your spouse to sit next to you and observe your conversations and it has nothing to do with cheating then it should be okay. But if you are planning dates or having an inappropriate relationship then I say yes.

Hello, That is a good question. I guess it all depend on what you are saying and if your spouse know your are talking to others. If your mate does not like talking to the other people they may think you are cheating. Like I said it all depends on what you are talking to this other person.Does this other person know you are married? Its the whole relationship thing and if you talk about sex or if you tell this person you are in love with them. I think if you are not telling this person you love them or want a relationship in real life on here its OK. Hope all will get settled.

It doesn't matter if you meet or not. If you have the desire to keep talking with that person and it affects you to not be in touch with these people and you can stop, not only are you cheating, you could be obsessed.
Just thinkink or talking about the act of cheating as something you want is cheating.

Cheating is different in everyones mind. I don't feel it is cheating unless your acting on a fantasy of some kind. But then again I don't feel that 2 woman together is cheating but I feel 2 men together is just plain gross. So I guess it is a matter of belief as some religons think it is also

Some people will say you aren't...and some will say you are.
Only you know if you are or aren't cheating.
If you feel like you have to chat with someone every day -even if you don't know them personally - then it sounds like you are emotionally involved with this fantasy...and that is cheating.
