no man knows when the world will end. that's why there are 8 highly trained buddhist monks that constantly think about the end of the world. they go 2 monks in 12 hour shifts. i hope this will put your mind at ease.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

The whole universe started dying as soon as it was born. It is currently expanding, but it will inevitably contract one day. The world will expand and grow, and then it will start to diminish. We will be be born, grow up from infancy to childhood, to adolescence to adulthood, to old age and then death. But don't let that get you down...the whole thing will start all over again the instant it perishes. Like an eternal breath or heart beat.
We will definitely not be able to survive on this planet when the sun reaches its next stage in development and rapidly expands to many times its current size....But after its expansion, it must face its own demise as well.
Other than that, from what i can gather, there is supposed to be some sort of cosmic event on the 21st of December 2012. An astrological alignment where we can see the Phoenix arising from the Ouroboros. There might be some form of intense war at that time, a culmination of forces that leads to a spiritual awakening for humanity. The end of the world as we (currently) know it, will give way to a new world that we were destined for.

a lot of people believe that it has already started because of signs that are coming true that were fortold in the bible, the problem is that they have been occuring for thousands of years. some people speculate that when the bible says god made the universe and everything in it in 6 days, that it is not what we would consider a "day" because god's time is not our time. and that we are currently in the seventh day when god rested. so i would say that if we could figure out how long god's day is, we could calculate how many more "hours" before the 7th day is over and maybe the 8th is the end. i'd say another million years or so. the end of my world will be anywhere from right now to about 75 more years. if the world doesn't end before i die, it won't matter too much.

By the end of the word -- not earth, but this system of things, I suppose you refer to Armageddon!
This shall start according to prophecy one year after some extremely important report about Babylon the Great has been heard.
What exactly this report is can only be guessed at, but it seems likely that it would have to do with Babylon's demise at the hands of world governments.
As far as years and months, Christians have been told that this is not our business.

Soon. when the nation of Israel return ed to its homeland, Jesus said that that generation would not pass away before the end of the world. When all the Christians suddenly disappear, U will know that the rise of antichrist is imminent. Hope this helps. God bless U

Since every human begins dying as soon as he is born, I believe the end of the world began before it was fully formed.

We're off to a slow start right now, it's a gradual process.
The signs are all there if you read the papers and watch the news though.
