It seems the FIA wants to get with the enviromental program and put some corn in the tank a la IRL.

I'd love them to bring back turbos, it would reintroduce the concept of unreliability! At the moment, as long as you don't drive like a moron your car gets to the finish (take note, Kimi...) so the best cars always finish at the front. Nowhere near as fun as the old days when you never knew who was going to get to the flag.
I don't really care what fuel the cars use, the engine designers will find a way to get the cars to go quickly in any case (only the 1.5 litre normally-aspirated formula of 1961-1965 produced really wimpy cars).
As for the number of cylinders, I'd like to leave it open; a team could have any number, but with different minimum weight limits. So for example a 6cyl car could be maybe 50kg lighter than an 8cyl car and so on. Variety is good for F1, having all the cars looking the same gets boring. (And will they make either McLaren or Spyker change their colours?! I have bad TV reception and I can't tell them apart until the camera zooms in...)

what i think is that they should bring back the old v10s from the 90's and yes they should allow more overtaking by taking note of chassis in the 90's i mean no silly fins sticking out of the side pods and little added wings take em off so we can have more overtaking. also have turbo engines which would be fun and challenging for the teams, bring back manual shift gears like in the good ol days and of course bring back racing slicks we need to focus more on driver skill as atm the cars are so powerful they dont need a driver due to the large amount of electronics and also ban all electronics like traction control i want to see the good old days and more skills by the drivers and ohh one more thing, bring back all the old tracks like zolder, nordschleife and various other classic tracks i much enjoy the old f1 much more and i just wsh they could rebuild the old hockenheim, i really miss those old williams cars and bring back the old teams like lotus they should not go to 6 cylinders the sport will be ruined i miss the old sounds of the old cars

YUCK!

have you been to an IRL race? They are the worst!

Turbo V6 on ethanol, sounds like Buick would come to the party?

gag me with a spoon. Of course I lament the passing of Ferarri V-12's and decidely agree with Il'Commadatore that the only proper engine in F-1 is a V-12.

I like the idea about using alcohol,I mean its great! But going to six cylinders?I think the FIA should stop reducing the engine's power. The V10 engines were always so fun to watch and hear. They were the reason it was amazingly exciting to watch.I don't want F1 to turn into a sport decided by aerodynamics and weight.Even the NASCAR stock cars looks faster.

I would love to see turbos back in the sport. I was too young to appreciate the 1000 hp turbo era, and if they keep cutting downforce, or move to the twin/split rear wing design then I think more power would be neccesary for the sport to stay exciting. But I don't want to see 6 cylanders(sp) in the sport. I'm just getting use to the v8's.

They are trying to kill off the sport. Bring back the screaming Ferrari V12's & the other V10's, now that really was an amazing noise. Why don't they get the manufacturers to put diesel engines in? Audi doing ok in their Le Mans cars...
