Best thing I have used is Mothers Metal Polish available at any autoparts store. Plus it polishes the chrome on the pipe at the same time. I have to do this about 5 times a week. Wife always lets her boots get to close to the pipe. Only takes a moment to clean off and even less if you use a rotory tool. Good luck and be careful.

A carb cleaner such a Gumout on the cold pipe will dissolve the melted mylon. Be sure to buff the pipe where it melted to make sure it's all gone to prevent permanent discoloration. You can also use acetone or nail polish remover. Good luck.

I am assuming your pipes are chrome?
If so use paint remover,it will soften the plastic enough to scratch it off with your finger nails, then use chrome polish to clean off the smearing left over.

I would run the motorcycle for a little bit to heat up the pipes, then try to get it off with a hott soapy rag, use heat resistant gloves of course. **** be gone might work too.

Try WD 40 on cold pipes. This is a petroleum base which will remove this type of material .
