Seems like most of you out there did not understand my question. Could it be because most of you are nowhere near 'Senior'?

I would have to agree with the others....

I answer a lot of questions from young people. All I ever wanted to do was to give them the very best advice that they could get. Try to teach them a bit of common sense so that they have a fair chance of making it to my age.

Plus, I think that anyone who stops learning and refuses to grow, might as well be dead. I am a far way from wanting that to happen to me, so I go through my days learning new things and growing just that little bit more knowledgeable.

But I DO object to finding so many questions from High School Seniors in this category. They seem to have not realized that there are not only high school seniors, but college and university seniors, and golden aged seniors sharing the planet with them.

Can't agree with you on that one honey. I'm a senior and I like to joke with the youngsters.Being a senior and having lived through all sorts of experiences from child birth to the death of some loved ones I think I have something to offer them if they would like an opinion or advice. Not that I think I know everything, but I do know that your question will never teach the youngsters they are valuable human beings too. I wonder how old you are. Are you saying this because you are jealous of youth or is it that you are you are young and think we seniors are past it and all suffer from sense of humour failure?

I am 53 and I have answered teen agers questions. I have received best answer with the reply from the asker "you seem to understand me." Maybe my advice doesn't last but for the moment the child knows someone understands him or her. Sometimes people on her just need someone to "hear" them.

WAIT: I believe that I misunderstood your question. Are you talking about non-seniors who come into this section and say nasty things? If so I agree with you. I don't ask or answer a question just to spew venom or to disagree with people. Sorry I misunderstood your question at first. I believe that I read some of your answers and went from there.

I agree with the others-we, as seniors, need to stay in contact with the "Cyber" set. As for proper questions-what's that? Never heard of such a thing-lol.
I am 62 with a 9 year old son and most of my friends are a heck of a lot younger then I at 62.
Do I feel old-some days, but usually want to get out there and tear up the road and water ways.
I maybe older but as far as being mature-no way-want to remain a kid at heart.

In a way perhaps but as a senior as you call it I like reading the problems of some of the younger contributors. Not all of the youngsters questions are silly. It is us oldies, with experience of life that we have that can sometimes best help the younger person with their problem. Not the boy friend/girl friend sort of stuff, but growing up problems, starting work and how to behave at work are all sorts of things an older person can advise on.I have had a couple of my answers to questions raised by young people voted as the best answer by the asker with their profound thanks for the advice given in the remarks box.It makes you feel good that you really have been able to help somebody. No I would leave things as they are with a mixed assortment of questions and answers from all age groups. You just have to be a bit selective as to which of the more sensible questions you feel like answering.

We do whatever we can to keep young. After all, a woman is as old as she looks, but a man is not old until he stops looking!
