I DID.... HERRAAAAAAAAYYY.......
I happen to have promised others & myself that I am quitting the very last day of May..., but non of those around me trusted I would be able to do it,,, or that I am actually doing it....
As a matter of fact I quit yesteday @ 12:00 Hrs. SHARP....
So far, I am enjoying the feeling so much...
Better keep feeling like this....I JUST LOVE IT....
Feel like I am High...& in the mood to be slow & EZ & Joyful..
Isn't that weird...Feeling COMFORTABLY NUMB....
I am even much encouraged by my beloved ones from whom I am getting strength, help, support & assistance...
But o n the other hand:
My wife is taking a "STUPID BEHAVIORAL ATTITUDE"... She wouldn't take the opportumity to quit with me....even though I have been preparing myself & her for the whole month of May; telling her May will be the Last Month we will ever have a smoke on ...Jun. will be the month to remember all the time...and that it is the beginning of a month & an end for another month...Middle of the year,,,,etc., but apparently I found myself quitting while she is not...
I mean JESUS CHRIST... She doesn't care if I am tourchured seeing her smoking, while I am on my early hours quitting...
She is a Major Pain in the rear end, smoking n front of me.. She DOES NOT SHOW much of appreciation / admiration in me that I am quitting after 27 years of serious & continuous smoking habits,,,
She keeps saying she would be starting her quitting Next Month; i.e., Jul. 1st 2007, just as I quit on Jun. 1st...and I DO NOT BELIEVE HER........
We DO NOT seem to have a Match, DO WE, ? LOOOOOL....
Pls. ask me this question tomorrow & the day after and next week, till u & I know 4 sure I 4got all about this addictive habit
Quitting smoking is one of the most difficult things to do after such a long Period of smoking...
But it takes someone with AN IRON WILL to do it...
And it takes him to remember the ones he promised to quit...
Just as it takes a Strong Lover to prove to his sweet heart that he is keeping a promise he had given to her...
Eventually, Just like it also takes a Friend to prove to his friend that their friendship is potentially applicable for ever...
Thank U ILOVEU for this Question...
You R helping me a great deal just as some of them do....

Yes, and it was the hardest thing I ever did.
I had to completely change all my habits, because smoking was an aspect of every part of my life. I changed what I did from the moment I got out of bed in the morning to the moment I got back in at night.
Quitting smoking is not a decision you make once, but a decision you make every minute of every day, and you have to keep saying "no" to your cravings for MONTHS. It took me over a year to stop craving a ciggy, and sometimes I still crave one.
The good news is that you CAN do it. Believe in yourself. Good luck.
