Go to internet options and turn off the forms fill in feature.
You can also double click on the empty search box, drop down to the first item, and keep hitting delete until they are all gone.

why? did you go to a porn website or something if you did it should be the same as yahoo after it appears on the web search engine if there's a little arrow it should say clear history or instead of using the aol search use the google because if you go somewhere and you don't want anyone to know delete it and then click on something else i hope i helped

at the top of your aol homepage click edit then click clear toolbar history and yes, that should do it, im an aol user

Just select the search box start to type what you are trying to delete. When it shows up in the search box press the delete key.
