Get a dual header Graphics Adapter.

On these dual header Graphics adapter you can easily connect two monitors and unlike a video signal splitter, you can actually open up two different windows programs on it and use it for completely different purposes.

In large computer corporations this is the normal way because it allows the use of the full capacity of the Computer and the various peripherals attached to it. Various companies like Matrox, PNY, NVidia etc make these. They are not as expensive as they once used to be.

Remember this is very different from normals signal splitters as suggested by a gentleman here.

Buy a video card that has 2 monitor connections. I bought one for mine. It's better to get one that is at least 256mb or 512mb. I've got a 128mb dual monitor card that is terrible. You can't watch DVD's on it. You can watch video & play games better with a higher megabite card. You can get them with the new LCD connections or the older monitor blue connections. I had 2 CRT monitors hooked up but now I only have one because I don't want to spend the $ on another one. This one didn't turn out so good. Good advice it to make sure it's got good ratings.
Try www.newegg.com under video cards.
If you have a new motherboard, you may have a PCI Slot Express slot. Older, then you may have an AGP slot. It all depends on what your mother board will take for a card.
There are some that fit into AGP slots, PCI slots, & the new PCI Express slots (which are totally different).
Let me know if I can be anymore assistance to ya.
