When aren't racism and sexism a big issue? I say we stop accept being called racists and sexists, and vote for who we think is the best candidate. You know judge people by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin, or in this case the color of their skin or their gender. That is what MLK's dream was all about wasn't it?
I don't think this is just a democratic issue either. The republicans will come up with some comparable Vice presidential candidates so as not to be undone?

I would hope Americans would vote the right choice and not worry about school yard taunts of whatever. The voting booths have a curtain and nobody sees what you vote. Follow your heart and vote in the person that you think is best qualified for the job. A president does not have to have milky white skin to be effective. A president does not have to be "crested instead of cloven" to be effective. White skin and male genitalia do NOT a good president make. George Bush has both and just look at the mess this country is in.

i'm no longer shocked that much less individuals think of a woman might nicely be president. women earn 75 cents on the greenback, whilst black men earn 80 cents on the greenback. it truly is an extremely complicated undertaking, and that i do no longer think of which you would be able to say that one is an even bigger undertaking than the different only simply by numbers. they are no longer possible to analyze, and the two might desire to be dealt with. That being pronounced, i do no longer think of the two of those subject concerns might desire to be at our vanguard, truly in the wake of the form of susceptible economy, a wellbeing care disaster, the conflict in Iraq that desires to end, and the conflict on terrorists that desires to be addressed extra. Obama tries to stay to tell the story music, however the media and mudslingers truly take the concentration off the important issues simply by fact they do no longer look to be debatable adequate to fireside up scores.

It hasn't been an issue so far in the campaign. Everyday I see repubs asking this question though so it looks like there trying to make it one.
The guys question that you have linked is an obvious idiot. Just trying to incite exactly this reaction.

That is something the lefty nitwits will struggle with in an attempt to be PC. Should be fun to watch. I do not think Obama will make it thru the primaries....the Clintons will "Vince Foster" him first.

I hope not. This election needs to be about the future and what's best for the US. Sex, race, and religion don't belong in the fray.
